A Poem About Fall

In the garden, Autumn is,

indeed the crowning glory of the year,

bringing us the fruition of months of thought and care and toil.

And at no season, safe perhaps in Daffodil time,

do we get such superb colour effects as from August to November.

Fall is the best time of the year to garden!  I have already posted a Fall Gardening Check List and I will be creating several more posts about fall gardening in the weeks coming.  I LOVE summer, but I am always ready for those brisk autumn mornings that are just around the corner!

The Garden

The Sunlight calls to me

through my closed eyelids

My garden whispers to my soul

“Wake up, Wake up!”

My mind begins to wander

down the garden paths,

Noting all the jobs

that await my eager hands.

So I wake and greet the day

I greet the earth and all creation.

My hands tend the soil,

The garden tends my soul.

Together we worship out Creator-

the earth and I, the steward.

We hear his voice and

Respond to His love.
